A master's dissertation was discussed in the College of Education, University of Misan on geographical distribution of the urban system in Misan Governorate by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Zainab Ali Jassim Al-Tawil. The dissertation demonstrated the detection of the imbalance in the urban balance and the possibility of detecting the spatial distribution pattern of urban centers using some statistical measures and methods and knowing the extent of the regularity of the urban network and its distributions in the study area. The dissertation reviewed the analysis of natural and human characteristics that are important factors in creating discrepancies between urban centers. The dissertation concluded with the necessity of establishing an integrated urban system that follows the scientific and objective foundations in which the urban ranks in order to achieve a kind of urban balance, as well as following a policy of grouping converging settlement centers and merging them into a limited number to facilitate the achievement of comprehensive development.
