NTU’s Master's Dissertation: On Designing Digital Data Acquisition System

A master's dissertation was discussed in the Technical College of Engineering, Northern Technical University on designing a digital data acquisition system based on the Internet to discover harmonics using field-programmed gate arrays by the postgraduate student, Mr. Omar Nabil Youssef. The dissertation demonstrated the mechanism of validating the design system for applying the power signal remotely by detecting harmonics and calculating the total harmonic distortion (THD) for two distant signals. The dissertation highlighted the discovery of harmonics for a remote source acquired signal via using built-in design techniques to send digital signals from sound or power sensors by a remote controller to a processor system then configure it on an FPGA over a wide area network (WAN).
