Center of Biotechnology Researches, University of Al-Nahrain held a symposium on the importance of establishing Food and Drug Association in Iraq. The symposium aimed at developing a roadmap to establish the Food and Drug Association and activating laws and instructions that guarantee food safety from the concerned authorities in a serious manner to protect the consumer. The symposium highlighted the defects in food control in Iraq, the multiplicity of supervisory authorities, and addressing the problems facing drug control, company selection, registration, storage and circulation of medicines, the quality of imported medicines and the importance of controlling them in Iraq.
