College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Diyala held a symposium on implementing of modern technology in the medical researches. The symposium demonstrated the modern uses of technology in the medical and health fields in light of the health conditions the world is going through. The symposium reviewed the Laser Doppler flowmetery technology that uses friendly Lasers and applies the Doppler phenomenon in order to obtain information about blood flow in small vessels, such as measuring the velocity of red blood cells, as well as the uses of Laser speckle contrast imaging technology that uses Lasers to produce a two-dimensional image containing important information for blood flow in the small vessels. The symposium highlighted the technique of thermography, which generates images by relying on the principle that objects increase their emission of radiation as they increase their temperature.
