A master's dissertation was discussed in the College of Engineering, University of Al-Qadisiyah on the behavior and failure patterns of steel poles coated with lightweight concrete at high temperature by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Noor Al-Hoda Nima Salih. The dissertation reviewed the practical and numerical behavior of steel poles coated with lightweight, centrally loaded concrete (LWCES) and exposing to different temperature values. The dissertation aimed at proposing a numeric model to be validated using ABAQUS / Standard to simulate the behavior and failure patterns of LWCES and NWCES poles that are centrally loaded under different temperature values. The dissertation concluded that ABAQUS could reasonably predict the failure and behavior patterns of the CES poles at different temperatures and different decentralization ratios.
