College of Dentistry, University of Karbala held a course on the relation of prosthetic science with other dental departments. The course aimed at developing the abilities of the students to know the details of diseases caused by teeth on the body and how to conduct medical treatments. The course reviewed a statement of the link between the dental specialties and the need for communication and consultation between the different specialties in order to reach the best scientific diagnosis of clinical cases. The course highlighted the relation of prosthesis science to gum disease and how one affects the other in terms of diagnosis, clinical treatment and the patient’s expectation of treatment success.
